The Sixth Ministry

Details
At the request of the Optistery, you are to find former minister Karaha-Baruha's laboratory in Toraimarai Canal, and delve deeper into the mystery of the Book of the Gods.

Walkthrough
The gate guard will tell you that you have a new mission, to investigate a spot in Toraimarai Canal. He mentions that the mission comes from Tosuka-Porika in the Opistery.

Head to the Opistery (windurst waters) to discover that there's an entirely different mission; the gate guard isn't "in the loop". Speak to Tosuka-Porika for this information and a cutscene, where he explains that there is a hidden room inside Toraimarai Canal, and he needs you to go there and meddle about for him. He will give you a key item equired to open the door to the hidden room: "Optistery Ring".

If you do not have a map of Toraimarai Canal, try to ensure that someone in your party does, or that you at least have a printed out version. It's a confusing place. You need to get to G-8 on the second map. There are two entrances to the second map; you need to enter via the one around J-9 so that you can get to the upper level.

Once at G-8, you're in a large room with random bats and the mobs that you must kill to gain access to the secret room. For access, kill the four NM slimes in the room, called "Hinge Oils". They do not link. Be advised that they have wide-range area effects that will knock a Taru mage to zero hitpoints in one swoop, so mages MUST stay back. Other sites advise that these mobs are defeatable by a party of 10 levels 60+; that sounds right - our group was 12 levels 54-65 and had zero trouble excepting two deaths taken by mages who did not stand back.

Once all four slimes are dead, you can enter the Marble Door, which is on
the far side of the room, up a staircase. Inside, you are to examine the "Tome of Magic" - there are several of these; the one that gives you the cutscene is the stack of books on the floor along the left wall, next to the chair with a skull in it. Go through a cutscene with the Star Sibyl, then head back to the Opistery and speak with Tosuka-Porika again to finish the mission and obtain key item "Blank Book of the Gods".

Awakening of the Gods

Details
Rhinostery minister Rukususu has traveled to Elshimo to investigate the facts concerning Iru-Kuiru, a researcher from thirty years past. The Rhinostery has asked you to bring Minister Rukususu back for her own safety.

Walkthrough
The gate guard will tell you to cruise over to the Rhinostery for your next mission. At the Rhinostery, speak first to Leepe-Hoppe, who is on the roof.

He tells you the minister has run off, and see Kerutoto for more information. Downstairs you'll find Kerutoto, who tells you to go to the Temple of Uggalepih and recover the minister.

Head to Kazham. Speak to:

a) Vanono — a tarutaru from the Rhinostery, who recently saw Minister Rikususu when she arrived in Kazham. She's one of the three tarutarus located to your right as you exit the air travel agency in Kazham.

b) Romaa Mihgo — She will tell you that Minister Rikususu was searching for Iru-Kuiru, and that Iru-Kuiru was banished to the Temple of Uggalepih years ago. So if you want to find the Minister, you should start looking there.

If you do not speak to both of these NPCs, you will not be able to get a cutscene and complete the mission.

Next, head to the Temple of Uggalepih. There are two ways to enter: one, the longer but less dangerous way, is through the main Temple entrance. The second is much shorter but much more dangerous, through the Den of Rancor entrance at J-7 in Yhoater Jungle (next to Bloodlet Spring). After doing
both, i'll recommend the main Temple of Uggalepih entrance - Den of Rancor is shorter, but Sneak and Invisible are necessary, and if anyone gets agro, you're dead. If you choose to go through the Den of Rancor, however.. stick
to the left wall, travel down the map until you reach an area with Mandragora creatures ("Pucks") then head down a tunnel to the Temple of
Uggalepih entrance at K-9.

The "better" way, through the Temple of Uggalepih main entrance (J-11, Yhoater Jungle):

A map (printed out most likely, since not many peeps have the map for this area) is an absolute necessity. The only buff you will need is Invisible. Deeper in there are Magic Pots and Iron Maidens, who agro to magic, so be wary.

Enter the Temple, buff up, head down the stairs. You'll come to a T intersection. On your left is a "Granite Door" - go through it. Follow the hallway as it zigzags around to zone back out into Yhoater Jungle. Once out in Yhoater, go down the hallway until you come to a somewhat open area, with
stairs leading down (do not take the stairs). Turn to your right and hug the wall, you will find another hallway and zone back into F-7 of the Temple of Uggalepih. Get to the Granite Door at J-9. Beyond this door is your NM.

The mob is "Bonze Mayberry", a level 66 Tonberry NM. In the room with him are two or three Tonberry critters and a Hover Pot (magic pot) that you'll probably want to attempt to clear; this will be difficult to do without
getting agro from the NM, however, so be prepared for a crazy first fight. When you get to the Bonze Mayberry, be prepared for his special attack "Everyone's Rancor", which will more than likely one-hit kill whomever it is
aimed at, doing 2000-5000 damage. Kill it quickly and you will avoid this attack.

The NM drops two "Cursed Keys" per fight. Every Windurstian on the mission
must have one. Once everyone has their keys, find the Granite Door at J-6 on the same map. Trade the Cursed Key to the door and get a cutscene with Rokususu. **If you did not speak to both NPCs in Kazham, you will not get the cutscene, and your key will be lost. If you don't want to have to fight
the NM again, bite the bullet and make sure everyone has done this.**

After the cutscene, obtain key item "Book of the Gods". Return to Leepe-Hoppe for a cutscene, Rank 8, and 60,000 gil, woowee.

Suggested party for this - 12 people of level 60 or higher.
